Leaving San Diego on I8 east.

Heading north (HWY 86) a little to check out the Salton Sea area. A boom town that never was (google this place for the strange backstory). 

This is 100% as it was seen. Not touched up at all. Really bright.

Entering the Salton Sea boon docking camp spot... Watched four Apache helicopters fly around in formation tonight.

A super photogenic stretch of coastline. 

One of the greatest camp spots so far.

The cable was no match for what I guess were a pair of dull diagonal wire cutters.  Looks like Christmas came early for someone in this neighborhood.
